Hope does not always arrive like sunrise spilling over a mountain. Sometimes it is much smaller: getting through the next hour, answering a message, or choosing to believe that the story is not finished yet.

For a long time, I thought becoming stronger meant reaching a place where nothing hurt anymore. I imagined healing as a clean ending—as though one morning I might wake and discover that every difficult part of me had finally been repaired.

The miles still ahead

But perhaps courage is not the absence of struggle. Perhaps it is the willingness to keep travelling while still carrying questions. There can be life in tired bones, worth in an unfinished heart and meaning in every attempt to rise.

You do not have to be completely healed to be worthy of hope.

The eagle does not deny the storm. It finds the current running through it and allows that force to lift its wings. That is the kind of hope I am learning: not pretending the darkness was never there, but refusing to let it have the final word.

If today all you managed was to remain, let that count. Tomorrow does not require you to arrive as a finished person. It only asks that, when you can, you take one more honest step toward the light.
